Transformations Spa MD moves to new Vancouver location, adds new staff member

Dr. Susan Hughes, pictured, top left, a Vancouver physician and owner of Transformations Spa MD PLLC, has moved to a new location at 650 N. Devine Road, Suite B, in Vancouver.

Also at the Vancouver clinic, Jessica Kirby has joined Transformation Spa MD as a weight loss consultant and office manager. Kirby previously worked as program director and weight loss consultant for five years at the Jenny Craig Centre in Gresham.

Transformation Spa MD provides anti-aging services, laser liposuction, skin rejuvenation, acne and rosacea treatments, scar reduction and hair removal.

Hughes recently won a prestigious American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award, was admitted as an Associate to the American Academy of Cosmetic Family Medicine and received certification in laser-assisted liposuction and body sculpting.

BRAD BAUGES

Columbia Credit Union announced last week the hiring of Brad Bauges as senior vice president and chief operations officer. "His skill set and experience make him a great addition to Columbia," said Steve Kenny, president and CEO of CCU.

Prior to joining Columbia Credit Union, Bauges was the vice president of Branch Services for Texas Dow Employees Credit Union, where he managed retail operations for a financial institution with $1.4 billion in assets.

Prior to his time at TDECU, Bauges served as the regional vice president in Oak Harbor, Wash., for Alaska USA FCU.

Bauges holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the Oregon Institute of Technology and a master's degree in marketing from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, he is in his third and final year of Executive Education from the Credit Union Executives Society CEO Institute.

DAVID PALENSHUS

David Palenshus recently joined the Washington/Oregon IMS Electronics Recycling facility as Operations Manager.

IMS Electronics Recycling is the leading processor of electronics components in both Washington and Oregon, with a facility in Vancouver and Poway, Calif.

Palenshus has been involved in asset life cycle management for over 30 years. A business school graduate of the University of Kansas with an MBA from National University in San Diego, Palenshus is a retired U.S. Naval Officer and an active volunteer in the local community.

CECI RYAN SMITH

Ceci Ryan Smith was elected chair by the Vancouver Housing Authority Board of Commissioners at their annual meeting on Feb. 24.

Smith was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in 2003.

The VHA serves more than 7,500 very low-income children, parents, elderly, and disabled people with subsidized housing.
