Expanded position for longtime Trust employee

Kim Hash has assumed expanded responsibilities as director of programs for the Fort Vancouver National Trust.

Over the past 10 years, Hash has managed the growth of the Trust's primary programs, as well as the development of new events and event sponsorships.

In her newly focused position, Hash will continue to produce all Celebrate Freedom programs including Flag Day, the Veterans Parade, two Marshall Leadership Awards and the Marshall Lecture. Hash will also have primary responsibility for the re-launch of the Trust's Fourth of July event. She will also continue oversight of the Pearson Air Museum's Dancing with the Local Stars fundraiser and event sponsorships.

Fort Vancouver National Trust hires new staff

Alishia Topper has joined the Fort Vancouver National Trust as its new Director of Development, with responsibility for the Trust's annual fund programs, capital campaigns and other community outreach initiatives.

Most recently, Topper served as director of development at Columbia Springs in Vancouver. Prior to that, she served as director of donor relations and special events for the Portland State University athletics department. Topper has also served as director of Share's family shelters and transitional housing programs.

Topper holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Foreign Languages and Cultures from Washington State University and a Master of Public Administration at PSU. Topper was also a 2000 NCAA Division 1 National All-American in the 800 meter and competed in the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Brenna Beck also joined the Trust as tourism and events manager. Beck will focus on increasing group tour visitation to the Fort Vancouver National Site as well as managing the Trust's event rentals.

Previously, Beck worked for the city of Vancouver, first assisting the Out-of-School Time Coalition, then serving as the city's program and events coordinator.

Her volunteer experience includes Seattle Children's Hospital, the Seattle YMCA and time spent teaching at a youth center in Ethiopia. A Vancouver native, Beck holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from the University of Washington.
