Kenny promoted to Columbia Credit Union president and CEO

The Columbia Credit Union Board of Directors on Oct. 29 announced Steve Kenny as Columbia Credit Union's next president and CEO. Following a nationwide search process, the credit union's board advanced Kenny into the leadership role.

Kenny served as interim CEO since May and was chief operating officer for the past two years. With a financial institution career extending more than 30 years, his leadership brings a significant amount of operational acumen.

"Steve has provided Columbia members with excellent leadership and service for many years and is well established and well suited to lead the Credit Union into the next decade," said CCU board chair Chuck McDonald.

MERIDITH GREEN & JEANETTE VELEZ

The Southwest Washington Human Resources Management Association announced the appointment of Jeanette Velez and Meridith Green to its board of directors and as co-directors of the SHRM Foundation.

Velez has human resources experience in the public, nonprofit and private sectors, including the hospitality, health, manufacturing, staffing and municipal government fields. She attended Villanova University, West Chester State University of Pennsylvania and National University in San Diego where she was awarded a Leadership Scholarship. Velez currently serves as Human Resources Manager for YWCA Clark County.

Green has over 12 years of corporate HR management experience with a focus on compliance, employee-relations, labor-relations, recruitment, workplace diversity, performance management and employee development. Green serves as a Human Resource Manager for Iron Mountain, Inc. and is a graduate of Leadership Clark County's class of 2009.

CHUCK ROOD

Wells Fargo Investments, LLC has hired Chuck Rood as a senior financial consultant serving the Vancouver-Portland metro area.

Rood, a senior vice president, specializes in working with families and business owners to grow, protect and transfer wealth. He also focuses on portfolio recovery strategies, advanced insurance strategies and retirement income planning.

Rood was previously a senior financial advisor at U.S. Bancorp Investments in Portland for 16 years and a CPA at Deloitte and Touche for three years.
