JIM JACKS

Jim Jacks, a business development expert working for MacKay & Sposito, Inc., was part of a recent facilitation team leading the Columbia River Clean Diesel Project, an initiative designed to enhance the sustainability of our economy through the management of diesel emissions. Jacks represents the 49th District in the Washington State Legislature.

ROLLIN PERRIGO

LESLIE WALTZ

Jan Stockton, P.C., a Vancouver public accounting firm, added Rollin Perrigo and Leslie Waltz to its accounting and business consulting team. Perrigo, a former owner of a small accounting firm, joins the company as a Professional Associate. Waltz, a research analyst for 10 years with a national real estate appraisal firm, works in Client Services.

MEL LAVAMAKI

Washington State resident Mel Lavamaki will head up Vancouver-based Biokleen's sales division. Lavamaki will oversee regional sales, continuing to grow the natural cleaning supply company's presence in food co-ops and conventional supermarkets. Previously, Lavamaki was National Sales Manager for Parsippany, N.J.-based Veggieland.

 

JIM GLADSON

Jim Gladson joined planning and engineering firm BergerABAM as a Public Involvement Senior Project Manager in their Vancouver office. Gladson's work for BergerABAM will include managing, planning and executing public involvement processes from concept to completion.

 

STEVEN SCHALJO

Steven Schaljo joins the VBJ sales team after 20 years as a Chief with the U.S. Navy – spending half of his years in the Aviation Community and the other half in Naval Reserve Recruiting/Marketing. As an employee for the Columbian Publishing Company from 2007-8, Schaljo brings a strong local business knowledge, along with the passion to partner with clients in their successes.

RICH KOPLAN

Rich Koplan, formerly of Koplan's Home Furnishings in downtown Vancouver, recently joined the design team at Creative Interiors and Design. Co-owner Ryan Townsend said, "Rich Koplan's exceptional reputation, earned in over 25 years in the fine furnishings and design field, is a perfect compliment to the offerings of Creative Interiors and Design."

KATHY CONDON

Vancouver resident Kathy Condon has been appointed Fundraiser Director for the Palm Springs Frank Bogert Memorial Rodeo and Parade on March 12-14, 2010. The event will also feature a cattle drive, trail ride and golf tournament.
