IMS promotes Palenshus to NW regional assistant general manager

IMS Electronics Recycling Inc. has announced the promotion of David Palenshus to assistant general manager for operations of its Northwest region.

Palenshus was the former operations manager at IMS Electronics Recycling in Vancouver.  The company said he will remain in Clark County,
but now has territory responsibilities that extend from Hawaii,
the Pacific Northwest to other states such as Alaska, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana.

“Not only am I excited about this promotion, I’m excited that businesses large and small in the Pacific Northwest have recognized the fact that there’s an option when it comes to finding a safe and environmentally-friendly way to dispose of their electronics,” said Palenshus. “I’m overjoyed that we’re being recognized in this area for doing the right thing.”

In his new role, Palenshus will oversee sales, operations, financial performance and customer relations.

JUSTIN PEDERSON

Justin Pederson

IMS Electronics Recycling Inc. has announced the promotion of Justin Pederson to business development manager.

Previously, Pederson was a business development representative at IMS. In his new role, the company said he will oversee new business development, commodity and wholesale sales, shipping, receiving and dispatch functions.

KAITLIN SHRIER

Civil engineering, planning and construction management firm MacKay & Sposito Inc. (M&S) recently announced the hiring Kaitlin Shrier to its marketing team. 

In her new role, the firm said Shrier will be leading all proposal submittal efforts companywide.

Shrier is a recent graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and public relations. She previously worked for M&S as an intern in the summer of 2009.

RASSOUL DASTMOZD

Rassoul Dastmozd, Clark College’s vice president of instruction, has been appointed president of Saint Paul College by the Minnesota States Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees. 

Dastmozd has been at Clark College since 2006. His appointment at Saint Paul will take effect on July 1st.

JOAN RENNER

Joan Renner

The Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs (WCSAP) has presented Joan Renner, director of the Sexual Assault Program at YMCA Clark County, with the National Sexual Violence Resource Center’s (NSVRC) Visionary Voice Award.

According to the NSVRC, these awards "recognize the creativity and hard work of individuals around the country who have demonstrated outstanding advocacy and community work to end or prevent sexual violence."

For more than 30 years, Renner has served on community boards and committees while promoting sensitivity and compassion for the victims of sexual offences. She has also worked as an informal adviser to professionals in the criminal justice system.

JODI STEWART

 

Jodi Stewart, director of nursing at the Cascade Park Care Center in Vancouver, has been named Life Care’s Northwest Division Director of Nursing of the Year.

Life Care, a nationwide health care company, said the award goes to the director of nursing in each of Life Care’s seven divisions who demonstrates outstanding qualities in several areas, including customer service, staff development and successful state surveys.

“Jodi Stewart is a living example of what the honorable nursing profession is all about,” said Beecher Hunter, president of Life Care. “She administers her God-given talents in a spirit of love and compassion to help make the lives of others better.”
