Legacy Salmon Creek honors retiree

More than 300 Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center employees and their families gathered recently for a dinner at Vancouver Hilton to honor employees for various work milestones – chief among them, Leanne Bradford, a registered nurse from Salmon Creek’s Family Birth Center who marked 45 years with Legacy Health this past year.

“Leanne treated every patient like family,” said Rhonda Linn, nurse manager of the Family Birth Center.

Bradford retired in November of last year, but was on hand for the March event.

In addition, four Legacy Salmon Creek employees were honored for reaching 30 years of service: Mark Breakey in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Nita Heller in nursing administration, Suzette Herrera in Endoscopy, and Judy Nobile in Progressive Cardiac Care.

EVAN DUST

Evan Dust

Vancouver-based HDJ Design Group has announced the addition of Evan Dust as a senior transportation planner.

The company said Dust brings more than 20 years of transportation planning experience, while specializing in transportation demand forecasting interpretation, management planning, environmental assessment of transportation projects, public outreach and more. 

Dust is an active member in the Institute of Transportation Engineers and is currently serving as the Oregon Section’s Vice President.

KEVIN GRAINEY & ALEX BARRETT

Vancouver-based accounting firm Barrett and Company PLLC has hired Kevin Grainey and Alex Barrett as client service advisors.

In their new positions, Grainey and Barrett will be responsible for all phases of accounting, tax and audit engagements as assigned for individual and business clients. Both individuals passed all four parts of the Uniform CPA Exam and are expected to be certified in October, according to the firm.

Prior to joining Barrett and Company, Grainey attended Gonzaga University and Barrett attended the University of Denver.

Opsahl, Dawson & Company P.S. has named Michele Weber manager of its bookkeeping department.

The Vancouver-based business management, tax and accounting services firm said Weber brings more than 30 years of experience to her new role.

Before moving to the area in 2008, Weber and her husband lived in Santa Clarita, California.

First Independent has announced the promotion of Rob Davison to chief credit officer.

A 30-year banking veteran, Davison previously held the position of deputy chief credit officer.   

 “Rob has been instrumental in helping to strengthen the bank’s commercial lending portfolio and manage our exposure to risk over the past two years,” said Jeanne Firstenburg, president of First Independent.  “His purposeful and responsible approach to credit administration has benefitted the bank, our depositors, our shareholders and the community at large.”

First Independent also announced the promotion of two individuals in wealth management.

The company promoted John Cameron to senior vice president, managing Investment advisory & brokerage services, and John Gomez to asset management group manager.

Cameron and Gomez joined the bank’s wealth management team in 2007.

In addition, the bank appointed Erin Cates to manage its Heights branch. 

Cates joined First Independent in 2000. She most recently was a service team leader at the bank’s Cascade Park branch.

IdentityClark Countyrecently elected four individuals to leadership positions on its board.

Those individuals include Scott Horenstein as chairman, Lisa Lowe as vice chair, Mark Feichtinger as secretary and Keith Wallace as treasurer.

“These ladies and gentlemen are well known in Clark County for their leadership and bring the perspectives of their areas of specialization to our board,” said Ginger Metcalf, Identity Clark County’s executive director.
