Greater Portland Inc. hires new VP of Investor Stewardship

Greater Portland Inc., the Portland-Vancouver regional economic development partnership, recently announced the hiring of Maggie Finnerty as the vice president of Investor Stewardship.

The organization said Finnerty brings a wealth of experience in building and maintaining investor partnerships, working with the regional business community and fundraising in the public and private sectors.

In her new role, Finnerty will work as a liaison to Greater Portland Inc.’s investors and stakeholders in order to keep them informed of current activities and provide opportunities for them to engage directly in the organization’s work throughout the year.

“Greater Portland Inc. brings the best of the public and private sectors together to drive economic growth. To make that happen, we are building a staff culture that is entrepreneurial, collaborative and results oriented,” said Sean Robbins, CEO of Greater Portland Inc. “Maggie is an outstanding fit for Greater Portland Inc.  She is passionate about this community and is a consummate team player.”

Finnerty leaves her position as executive director and clinical law professor at Lewis & Clark Law School’s Small Business Legal Clinic (SBLC) to join Greater Portland Inc. In that role, she managed all aspects of the SBLC’s operations, including developing strategic partnerships with a variety of organizations and programs, working with The City of Portland’s economic development team, presenting community outreach seminars on business legal topics and leading fundraising for the SBLC.

“Joining the Greater Portland Inc. team gives me the opportunity to use my experience with economic and partnership development on a much larger scale,” said Finnerty. “Greater Portland Inc. is doing important work for our region and I am excited to roll up my sleeves to make a difference for the Portland-Vancouver area.”
