NBS announces changes to leadership team

Norris, Beggs & Simpson Companies (NBS), a Portland-based commercial real estate company with offices in Vancouver, has named Clark County resident Jan Robertson its new CEO.

Robertson joined NBS in 1981 in an administrative role, and has served as CFO since 2005.

“Jan is simply the best person to run this company,” said J. Clayton Hering, NBS’ new chairman of the board. “As CFO she’s had to make tough decisions, which she has ably done, while always keeping the well-being of our employees and clients first and foremost.”

The firm also promoted H. Roger Qualman to chief operating officer of NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson – one of NBS’ four branches:

In his new role, Qualman will oversee the brokerage and property management divisions.

Qualman has managed the company’s Vancouver office since 2000 and been with the NBS since 1985.

TAMARA  FERGUSON

Tamara Ferguson

Tamara Ferguson, First Independent branch manager, has been elected president of the Salmon Creek Business Group for 2011-2012.

The group consists of representatives of more than 100 area businesses who get together for networking and to support and improve the business community.

Tamara is manager of First Independent’s Salmon Creek branch and has been with the bank for more than four years.

Killian Pacific LLC, a Northwest commercial real estate developer, has recently added Aaron Taylor to the position of leasing director.

The firm said Taylor is charged with leasing and retaining tenants with expiring leases in new and existing projects by establishing, cultivating and maintaining key tenant and broker relationships.

Nate Herbst, key account sales representative of Corwin Beverage Company of Ridgefield, has been awarded the President’s Ring of Honor from PepsiCo.

The award honors PepsiCo’s top performing sales associates and is given to less than one quarter of one percent of the international company’s sales team.

Herbst was honored earlier this month during a three-day event at the PepsiCo headquarters in Purchase, New York. He has been an employee for seven years at Corwin Beverage, previously serving as lead merchandise supervisor.

MATTHEW BISTURIS

Matthew Bistursis

Matthew Bisturis, an associate in the Vancouver office of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently elected president of The Parks and Recreation Foundation of Vancouver and Clark County.

The Parks Foundation’s mission is to raise funds through public and private partnerships in support of the parks, trails and recreation programs of Clark County in order to inspire kids of all ages to connect with nature. It accomplishes its mission by creating and nurturing innovative partnerships, administering strategic grants and establishing special funds to enhance recreational opportunities of the local area.

Bisturis, who focuses his practice in the areas of business and real estate transactions, graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law with a juris doctor degree.
