Columbia Credit Union announces two senior level promotions

Columbia Credit Union (CCU) recently announced two senior level promotions to its management team: William D. Fulk as executive vice president/chief operating officer, and Lindsey Salvestrin as senior vice president/service delivery‐project management.

Fulk’s responsibilities include overseeing day‐to‐day credit union operations; managing the credit union’s loan portfolio; and monitoring the credit union’s performance relative to compliance, internal controls and safety/soundness.

Salvestrin’s duties include coordinating corporate projects credit union‐wide and directing all aspects of member service, training, support services and e‐commerce departments.

“Both of these individuals have been instrumental in bringing Columbia Credit Union in alignment with our organizational goals for growth and innovation,” said Steve Kenny, CCU president and CEO. “Their new positions will focus attention on the areas that will continue to drive Columbia’s success into the future and we look forward to their contributions.”

Tidewater Holdings Inc., parent company of Tidewater Barge Lines, has named Bill Collins as its new director of environmental, safety, health & security (EHS&S).

Collins comes to Tidewater with 18 years of experience in managing regulatory compliance. Previously, he managed environmental compliance for ConocoPhillips’ petroleum storage/distribution terminals and pipeline facilities in Oregon and Washington. He also held the position of senior scientist/compliance specialist with several earth and environmental consulting firms.

“Bill’s depth of expertise and experience will greatly contribute to the success of Tidewater’s safety, environmental and quality programs,” said Tidewater CEO Dennis McVicker. “I look forward to his leadership in EHS&S and know that he will pursue excellence in all areas for which his department has responsibility.”

John P. Kafrouni, M.D. of Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery, has achieved board certification in electrodiagnostic (EDX) medicine from the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM) and is now an ABEM Diplomate. The designation of ABEM Diplomate demonstrates that Dr. Kafrouni has obtained specific training and passed a comprehensive written and oral examination to demonstrate competency in EDX evaluation of disorders of the neuromuscular (NM) system.

The American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine is the national certifying body for physicians specializing in EDX medicine. It was established in 1989 to maintain the high standards required for EDX certification and promote high quality patient care.

KAY KAMMER

The city of Battle Ground recently announced that Kay Kammer has been appointed city clerk.

The city clerk is the city’s public records officer and serves as the custodian for official city records and public documents. The position oversees the human resources department and, as court administrator, oversees the Battle Ground Municipal Court.

Most recently, Kammer served as administrative director/city clerk for the city of Ridgefield. She is a designated master municipal clerk by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and a certified professional in human resources by the HR Certification Institute.

SHARON WYLIE

State Rep. Sharon Wylie (D-Vancouver) has been appointed to the Joint Higher Education Committee. Wylie has represented the 49th Legislative District since April 2011 and currently serves in the House Higher Education Committee.

“It is an honor to be selected to take on additional responsibilities as the state faces the challenges of ensuring and paying for our higher education system,” said Wylie in a press release.

The Joint Higher Education Committee was created in E2SHB 2483, a measure establishing a new Student Achievement Council effective July 1, 2012 to replace the Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Margaret Murray, a real estate sales professional in Vancouver, has joined Keller Williams Realty – Premier Partners – Vancouver Market Center. 

Murray has a background of more than 20 years in the mortgage lending and real estate industry and began working in real estate under the supervision of Portland real estate pioneer Stanley J. Pounder, her father, broker and past-president of the Portland Board of Realtors. 

“I chose Keller Williams Realty because of its reputation for integrity, family values and an agent-focused success model,” said Murray.
