VaNessa Duplessie
National Association for the Self-Employed names local representative
VaNessa Duplessie is the new Vancouver-area membership representative for the National Association for the Self-Employed.
Duplessie also works as a licensed health insurance agent for HealthMarkets, a consultant and partner at private investment group Ridge Partners LLC and is a certified personal coach. The NASE was formed in 1981 by a group of micro-business owners seeking the kinds of benefits afforded to large corporations.
CLARK COLLEGE
The Clark College Board of Trustees has granted tenure to 10 faculty members.
They are chemistry Professor Karl Bailey, chemistry Professor Susan K. Brookhart, sociology Professor Carlos Castro, English Professor Geneva Chao, English Instructor Jill Darley-Vanis, nursing Professor M. Gail Fujimoto, Librarian Zachary M. Grant, human development Professor Tani McBeth, paralegal Professor S. Layne Russell and dental hygiene Professor Brenda Walstead.
Tenure is awarded to faculty members to exhibit professional excellence and outstanding abilities in their disciplines.
