Kory Wright

Columbia Ultimate promotes manager

Kory Wright has been promoted to vice president of associate excellence at Columbia Ultimate. Previously, Wright worked as a new business development manager. He brings more than 20 years of sales management and operations experience. Prior to his time at Columbia Ultimate, he worked as chief operations officer for Simply Right, a movie theater cleaning business. He has also served as president for Wright Angle Ventures Inc. and Healthware Inc. He also served as a consultant for The Intellitech Group and was previously with Columbia Ultimate in the mid-1980’s. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Brigham Young University.

The Management Group appoints board director, promotes agent

Rebecca Blaisdell, vice president of residential management services, has been appointed to The Management Group corporate board of directors. She has been with TMG for seven years and oversees the association and single family divisions of the company.

Jeremy Mahler has been promoted to managing agent/training coordinator for TMG. He has been with the company for one year and has worked in the association management industry for four years.

Miller Nash hires two

Joseph Vance and Ian Sutton have joined Miller Nash LLP. Vance joins the firm as a partner in the litigation department specializing in employment law and commercial litigation. Sutton’s practice focuses on land use, environmental and real estate law.

Vance comes from Davis Wright Tremaine, where he was a partner and served as the chair of the Portland office employment practice. He is licensed to practice in Washington and Oregon and is an active member of the American and Federal Bar Associations.

Prior to joining the firm, Sutton served as clerk to the Honorable Marywave Van Deren, judge for Division II of the Washington Court of Appeals. Sutton is admitted to practice in Washington and is a member of the Washington State and Clark County Bar Associations.

Columbia River Mental Health Services appoints clinic director

Floyd Brown, Ph.D., has been appointed clinic director for Columbia River Mental Health Services. He brings a background in consultation to CRMHS and as an administrator and educator in human services policy at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. He was an executive director of a large community mental health center in Ohio and faculty member at Ohio State University. He also has more than 25 years of experience as a psychologist.

Jan Stockton PC hires two

Ricki Gwartney and Patty Ozgul have joined the accounting firm of Jan Stockton PC. Gwartney works as an accounting consultant. She graduated from the University of Portland and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has experience as an accountant, financial analyst internal auditor and business consultant. She is also a certified QuickBooks Pro advisor. Ozgul works as firm administrator. She brings an extensive background in executive support, client growth and event planning.

Schwabe, Williamson and Wyatt adds associate

Philip Haberthur has joined the real estate group of Schwabe, Williamson and Wyatt as an associate. Prior to joining Schwabe, Haberthur worked as a law clerk for Safeco Legal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from Washington State University and a juris doctor degree from Lewis and Clark Law School. He is admitted to practice law in Washington State courts and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association.

Three physicians join SWMC’s cancer center team

Oncologists Lewis M. Steinberg, MD; Gang Ye, MD; and Michaelann Liss, DO, have joined Southwest Washington Medical Center’s cancer center. They will practice on the medical center campus as well as at The Vancouver Clinic’s 87th Avenue site. Dr. Steinberg, a former instructor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, will work in all aspects of cancer care. Dr. Ye completed his fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. He is interested in working in breast, lung and colorectal cancer as well as with lymphoma and hematological diseases. Dr. Liss started her medical career working in rehabilitation and has a master’s degree in physical therapy. She has an interest in breast cancer, lymphomas and palliative care.

Washington Trust Bank appoints regional president

Linda A. Williams has been appointed the Southwest Washington/Oregon regional president of Washington Trust Bank. Williams will succeed Chris Rasmussen. Williams brings a strong background in private banking, commercial banking and commercial real estate financing. Most recently, she held a management position at US Trust, prior to this she held executive leadership positions with Key Bank, First Interstate Bank of Oregon and Wells Fargo.

Wells Fargo promotes manager

Serina Ratliff has been promoted to branch manager of the Wells Fargo branch located inside Safeway at 6701 E. Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver. Ratliff joined Wells Fargo in 1999 as a personal banker in Camas and later became a service manager there, prior to her current appointment she was a service manager in Battle Ground.

Parametrix hires chief information officer

Robin McManus has joined Parametrix to serve as vice president and chief information officer. Previously, McManus spent five years with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle as vice president and chief information officer. She also worked with the Puget Sound Blood Center for seven years where she served as director of information technology.

WSDOT names Clark County area engineer

Kevin Miller has been promoted to Clark County area engineer by the Washington State Department of Transportation. Miller graduated from the University of Idaho and has worked for WSDOT for seven years. Most recently, he was the assistant to the area engineer for the Kelso area engineering office.

Local professional earns designation

Margaret Murray, with iNet-Realtors in Vancouver, has earned the designation of Accredited Staging Professional. She will now be able to stage homes to prepare them for sale. Murray can be reached on the Internet at www.stagedhomes.com.
