Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center named among ‘Most Beautiful’ hospitals in the nation

Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, which opened in August 2005, has been named to a list of the 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in America by Soliant Health, a nationwide healthcare staffing company.

Based on online voting, Legacy Salmon Creek came in at number 12 – narrowed from a field of 50 to the Top 20. Salmon Creek’s sister hospital, Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, came in at number 18.

“This certainly is an honor, and we are proud of our beautiful facility,” said Jonathan Avery, chief administrative officer of Legacy Salmon Creek, in a press release. “More important to us, though, is that the entire complex is designed to serve patients and their families. Plentiful parking, pedestrian sky bridges, rooms situated for making the most of natural lighting, gardens for walking and reflecting, private rooms with space for family members to stay overnight – these things help make the facility beautiful, but patient focus drove much of the design.”

Burgerville honored with number two ranking in Consumer Reports survey

Burgerville has received top honors from Consumer Reports, which this week announced the results of its quick-service restaurant survey. The chain of 39 Northwest restaurants, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, tied for second in the survey.

“We are very excited about the survey results and attribute the high ranking to Burgerville’s outstanding staff and our commitment to serving fresh, local food. From Walla Walla onions to Oregon’s strawberries – we are dedicated to using ingredients from local farmers,” said Jeff Harvey, president and CEO of Burgerville.

Receiving a score of 83, Burgerville received high marks in the categories of staff, speed and food. This was the first major quick-service poll for Consumer Reports, which made more than 98,000 visits to 53 quick-service restaurants across the country to compile the results.
