GWI releases cSupport 7.5

Vancouver-based GWI Software released a new version of its tech help desk software Oct. 1.

cSupport 7.5 is built for help desks at companies of any size. Its new features include comprehensive purchasing, which lets users request and track products and services, and link those requests with other records. It has an application program interface for mobile devices such as the Blackberry or iPhone, and its interface has been enhanced for efficiency.

The product is available in GWI’s Incident Management and Service Desk programs that share a common source code stream for smooth transitions from one to the other.

New Edge earns customer value award

Vancouver-based New Edge Networks received a customer value award from Frost and Sullivan, a global corporate research and analysis firm.

The company’s MyEdge portal was recognized as North America’s best business portal for large and distributed enterprises. MyEdge was recognized for ease of use and innovative features that provide online customer access to ordering, billing, trouble ticketing, network performance and collaboration tools.  

New Edge is the business communications unit of Atlanta-based EarthLink Inc. and manages private wide-area networks.

SOS partners with Xerox

Vancouver-based Southwest Office Systems has become an official dealer of Xerox office products.

The local company has provided printers, copiers and office furniture to Southwest Washington businesses for more than 14 years.

Formations Design moves office

Formations Design Group has moved its central office to Officers Row in Vancouver.

Formations is a full-service web development and graphic design firm and is now located at 656 Officers Row.

WSU programs earn accreditation

The undergraduate engineering and computer science programs at Washington State University Vancouver were approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

The honor is expected to give WSUV alumni a boost when applying for graduate programs or professional credentials, and applies retroactively to all students of the program, which began in 2004.

ABET Inc. is a federation of 29 professional and technical societies.
