The City of Battle Ground hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the SW Scotton Way Improvements Project last week.
Scotton Way will be extended west through the Lewisville Highway (SR-503) to SW 20th Avenue. The half-mile project will include a signalized intersection at Scotton Way and Lewisville Highway. The city said the extension will improve traffic flow with the new east-west connection and will provide enhanced opportunities for economic development.
The improvements, projected to cost $4.8 million, are funded in part by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through general obligation and Recovery Zone Economic Development Bonds.
