Chamber now accepting nominations for business and leadership awards

The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) is now accepting nominations for its 2016 Business and Leadership Awards.

Five awards are available to Southwest Washington Businesses: The Business of the Year Award (formerly known as The Community Builder Award), which has a category for small businesses (25 employees or less) and for large businesses that are having a positive impact on the community; the Community Champion Award and the Community Statesman Award (both for individuals); and the Start-Up to Watch Award (defined as a business in their first five years).

Nomination forms are available on the chamber’s website, www.vancouverusa.com, and due on Friday, August 12 by 5 p.m. Award finalists will be invited to the GVCC’s Annual Officer Installation and Awards Event on Thursday, September 15 at the Hilton Vancouver.

Last year’s award winners include: Columbia Credit Union, Schwabe Law Offices, Trek Global, State Senator Annette Cleveland and Scott Campbell of Waste Connections.
