The Vancouver Police Activities League (PAL) has hired Jenny Thompson as its new executive director.

Thompson has an extensive background working with nonprofit organizations and most recently worked for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington as the College Prep Coordinator.

Vancouver PAL serves youth of all ages with mentored and structured recreational and educational activities and is the primary youth crime prevention program for the Vancouver Police Department.

“Vancouver PAL and the PAL Board of Directors are thrilled to have Jenny join the organization as our new executive director,” said Michelle Missfeldt, Vancouver PAL Board president.

“Jenny has already hit the ground running, participating in a soccer clinic and kicking off her first day with the start of our summer camp program.”

Deanna RuschDEANNA RUSCH

McKinley Irvin, a regional family law firm, recently announced the addition of Deanna Rusch as an associate attorney.

Rusch, who will work out of the firm’s Vancouver office, practices in all areas of family law, with an emphasis on complex divorce, relocation and inter-state and international custody issues.

A Pacific Northwest native, Rusch graduated from the University of Washington and attended law school at Gonzaga University. In 2012, she was named a “Washington Outstanding Young Lawyer” by Seattle Met Magazine and was honored as one of The Vancouver Business Journal’s “Accomplished and Under 40.” She has been named a Rising Star by Washington Super Lawyers every year since 2010.
