Love headed to Legacy, Chamber to search for new CEO

The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) is in search of a new leader.

On Monday, the organization announced the resignation of CEO Kelly Love, who has accepted a position at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital in Vancouver, where she will be responsible for media and community affairs.

Love has served as CEO of the chamber for the past five years, helping to launch two new business counseling programs aimed at helping small business grow. Earlier this year, she was awarded the Association of Washington Business (AWB) “Advocate” Award for business-friendly legislative advocacy.

“This is a great opportunity for Kelly and the Board supports her decision,” said GVCC Board Chair Eric Olmsted. “She’s been a strong advocate for Clark County businesses. She will continue to be a positive force in our community in her new role at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital.”

Prior to her work at the chamber, Love spent five years serving as district director for U.S. Representative Brian Baird. Before that, she worked for more than 16 years as a television news reporter.

“It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with you and I look forward to partnering with you in my new capacity at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital,” said Love in a written statement. “I have been blessed beyond measure.”

In search of its next CEO, the GVCC Board of Directors has assembled a selection committee to review candidates. Submissions should be by email only with resumes/cover letters sent to resumes@vancouverusa.com.

Love’s last day is Friday, December 11.
