A new and expanded location for Mint Tea Imports opened in Vancouver Aug. 15. Owners Abdul Akdi and Jenna Eckert renovated the building themselves at 2014 Main St., which housed Casa Grande Mexican restaurant until late February.
The 4,000-square-foot location is five times the size of Mint Tea’s previous home two blocks north, making room for a multi-ethnic bistro. Under Chef Anna Petruolo, owner of Vancouver-based A Dinner Together, the Mint Tea Bistro will have a rotating breakfast and lunch menu of locally grown food with vegetarian and vegan options. The bistro is awaiting permits and should open this month. The building’s top floor is still under renovation and will include a banquet and meeting room, more dining space and a children’s area.
