WestfieldVancouver unveils iPhone shopping app

Westfield Vancouver has launched its very own iPhone App. The company said the new mobile application delivers a full suite of interactive features and provides visitors with a virtual personal shopping assistant in the palm of their hand.

A free download from Apple’s iTunes App Store, the application electronically maps Westfield Vancouver’s physical layout, store directory and detailed retailer information. The software also includes customer offers, promotions and special events.

“We are committed to integrating technology into the Westfield shopping experience to make every visit to our centers as compelling and convenient as possible for our shoppers,” said David Towers, Westfield’s vice president of digital business and digital marketing.

The company said it will continue to expand its mobile technology profile in 2011, introducing versions of its mobile shopping app for Blackberry and Android smartphones.
