Sapa Extrusions celebrates new facility with open house event

Business professionals on a tour of Sapa’s Port of Vancouver facility

Aluminum extrusion company Sapa Extrusions North America celebrated the completion of its new facility at the Port of Vancouver this afternoon with an open house event.

The Port of Vancouver facility is the first Sapa location in the state of Washington and has generated approximately 100 local jobs. The new facility encompasses a 142,800-square-foot building, housing equipment transferred from Sapa’s nearby Portland facilities and other regional facilities, as well as new equipment and facility upgrades.

Sapa worked with the Washington State Community Economic Development Revitalization Board (CERB), which provided an $800,000 public facility improvements loan. Additionally, the Port of Vancouver provided $500,000 in matching funds to complete the expansion. The company said its total investment in the project is approximately $8 million.
