LSW Architects, WRK Engineers donate to Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation

LSWThe Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation (RPSF) has received a $10,000 donation from LSW Architects and a $5,000 donation from WRK Engineers. The donations, made on Tuesday, will help the foundation continue its mission of providing support to teachers, students and classrooms throughout the district.

Both companies worked with Ridgefield School District (RSD) to help build new capital facilities projects located at all three of the district’s campuses. That work, said LSW President Casey Wyckoff, created a bond between the Vancouver-based businesses and the Ridgefield community.

“By working with Ridgefield School District over these past years, we have really fallen in love with this community and its people,” said Wyckoff in a press release. “There are so many opportunities for Ridgefield to grow and serve its students that we feel fortunate to have this opportunity to help.”

RSD Superintendent Nathan McCann, RPSF President Paul Lewis and RPSF Secretary Tim Shell were on hand to receive the donation.

“These moments demonstrate the vibrancy and vitality of the Ridgefield community,” said McCann. “These two companies stand as examples of corporate models, giving back to public institutions to encourage good work and increase student learning.”

The RPSF was established in 2009 by a group of parents and volunteers looking to fund programs and services in Ridgefield schools. For more information on how to donate to or participate in programs offered by the Foundation, visit www.ridgefieldpsf.org.
