Vancouver Mayor Royce Pollard and challenger Tim Leavitt attended a Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce forum Wednesday on the future of the Fourth Plain Corridor.

Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver announced last week the Sept. 21 opening of three new critical care units, with 80,000 square feet and 80 beds added to SWMC's E. Mill Plain Boulevard campus. Washington's Hoffman-Andersen Construction headed the $43.7 million project.

Carter Park Neighborhood Association celebrated the opening of Brickyard Neighborhood Park Sept. 18 at the 3200 block of N.W. Lincoln Avenue in Vancouver.
