Arts Commission unveils art works in three public buildings June 1

The works of Anne John, an instructor and member of the Arts of Clark County, will be on display on the sixth-floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. A reception will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the exhibit space.

Battle Ground sculptor James Lee Hansen and local artists K.C. Madsen and Bill Park will have work on display at Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St. The exhibit will be open 5 to 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

At Vancouver City Hall (415 W. Sixth St.), visitors can see the first part of an exhibit by Janice Arnold, an internationally recognized textile artist and felt maker. She is the daughter of Vancouver map-maker Phil Arnold, whose work will be featured in the second part of the exhibit in July. It will be open 5-9 p.m.

Local businesses participating in the Art Walk will be open until 9 p.m.
