Officers elected at Port of Kalama

Commissioner Fred Swanstrom has been elected president for 2006 by Port of Kalama Commissioners. Swanstrom was elected to the commission in 1994. Swanstrom holds a bachelor’s degree from Whitworth College, a master’s degree in secondary education from the University of Oregon and his superintendent’s credentials from Washington State University. Prior to becoming a Port of Kalama Commissioner, Swanstrom served as the deputy superintendent of schools in Vancouver and the superintendent of the Camas School District. Swanstrom also owns Swanstrom Enterprises, a company specializing in labor relations and personnel consulting.

Jim Lucas has been elected to serve as vice president and Randy Sweet has been elected secretary.
