NICHOLAS ANDROS

Dr. Nicholas Andros has been hired by Longview-based Smiles Dental to work out of the company’s Longview and Hazel Dell dental offices.

In his new role, Andros will provide orthodontia services to Smiles Dental patients of all ages in both locations.

A Tri-Cities native, Andros completed his undergrad work at Brigham Young University in Utah and received his doctorate of dental surgery at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He completed his orthodontic residency at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics in Florida.

“Adding Dr. Andros to our team will provide our patients with a new level of convenience in orthodontic care,” said Dr. Jeromy Dixson, Smiles Dental president. “Dr. Andros shares our mission of ultimate service, superior performance and positive impact. Shane Weisman was recently designated as a 401(k) Premier Advisor with Ameriprise Financial.

Weisman has specialized in working with small businesses in the Vancouver/Portland region for 11 years and manages a team practice in the Columbia Tech Center.

SKANSKA USA

Skanska USA, a construction and development company, has promoted 16 employees in its Portland office, which covers Oregon and Southwest Washington.

“We have very talented people here and are always looking for ways to grow their careers to meet our project growth,” said Jim Link, Skanska USA Building Inc.’s general manager and vice president in the Portland office. “As we continue to grow our backlog, we will continue to provide opportunity for Skanska team members to develop and move on to more responsibility.”

The following employees were promoted to senior project engineer: Amanda Blackburn; Mitch Keller; J.P. Kivlin; and R.J. Strength. Three employees were promoted to senior project manager: Buff Decker; Ryan Richards; and Cory Zonich. Four employees were promoted to project manager: Nichole Olsrud; Jerry Marmon; Nick Lilly; and Caitlin Powell. Additional promotions included: David Standley to director, preconstruction; David Dwyer to project executive; Tim Maxson to senior superintendent; Stephanie Houchins to senior marketing director; Jaime Sanders to senior marketing coordinator; and Kate Schruth to assistant marketing coordinator.

Additionally, two employees transferred to Skanska’s Portland office from other locations: Whitney Williams to executive administrative assistant; and Kathleen Wersits to project engineer.
