Mike Bomar

MIKE BOMAR

Mike Bomar has been selected as the Leadership Clark County (LCC) 2014 Outstanding Alumnus.

Each year, LCC selects one individual from its nearly 700 alumni to recognize for outstanding volunteer service and leadership to the community, and support of LCC during the past year. Bomar, a 2009 LCC graduate, is president of the Columbia River Economic Development Council (CREDC).

In addition to his volunteer work for LCC as a class session leader, Bomar currently sits on a number of professional and nonprofit boards, including the Clark County Skill Center Advisory Council, Greater Portland Inc., Washington Economic Development Association, Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council, WSUV Chancellor’s Advisory Committee, Washington Investment Board Advisory Council and iQ Credit Union Facilities Committee.

His prior community service included positions with the Hough Foundation Board of Directors, WSUV Alumni Advisory Committee, Parks Foundation and more. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in public affairs from Washington State University Vancouver.

Bomar was honored at LCC’s annual alumni event on Thursday, October 9.

Savannah Mobley has joined Davidson & Associates Insurance of Vancouver as business insurance account manager.

Mobley has nine years of experience in the insurance industry and has been a licensed agent since 2007. She graduated from Battle Ground High School and resides in Vancouver with her husband, Scott, and their two children.

Davidson and Associates Insurance has served local businesses and individuals since 1990. The firm is located at 610 Esther Street, Suite 101, in Vancouver.

Levi AxlundLEVI AXLUND

Levi Axlund has won the 2014 Sales Employee of the Year Award from Corwin Beverage Company. The award recognizes excellence in teamwork, customer service and sales execution.

Axlund, who is a territory development representative, has been a Corwin Beverage employee for eight years. A graduate of Evergreen High School, he resides in Vancouver with his wife and two children.

COLLEEN ADENT & LEN LEGER

The School of Piano Technology for the Blind recently added two new members of its Board of Trustees: Colleen Adent and Len Leger.

Adent graduated with a music degree from Biola University with an emphasis in piano performance. She is an active performing artist and has performed solo and collaboratively throughout the United States as well as overseas. She also serves as director of music at Glenwood Community Church in Vancouver.

Leger previously served as the executive director of the School of Piano Technology for the Blind for seven years. Prior to joining the school, Len served as a tenured faculty member at the Rochester Institute of Technology and as a sales and marketing executive at Eastman Kodak Company. Leger is a board member of the Fort Vancouver Lions Club.

Also known as the Piano Hospital, the School of Piano Technology for the Blind is the only school in the world dedicated to teaching piano tuning and technology to blind and visually impaired students.

BOB ADAMS & TRACIE JELLISON

Columbia Credit Union recently announced the hiring of Bob Adams as vice president of Columbia Wealth Management.

Adams will work through Cetera Advisor Networks to lead Columbia CU’s team of four investment advisor representatives who assist members and member-businesses with non-deposit investment products and insurance services. Adams brings 30 years of industry experience in financial sales and service.

Previously, Adams worked as a national sales manager in wealth management, directing teams over a multi-state region for a national bank. Other experience includes various financial institution sales roles at the regional and national level. In addition, he served as a division manager of the insurance and investment program at Navy Federal Credit Union.

Columbia Credit Union also announced the hiring of Tracie Jellison as vice president, business lending.

Jellison has 25 years of sales and financial relationship management experience, and will develop new commercial loan business, cross sell financial products and services and create strong business loan and deposit relationships on behalf of the credit union in her new role.

Prior to joining Columbia CU, Jellison served as a private banker for a regional financial institution where she served a portfolio of high net-worth individuals, firms and nonprofit organizations. Other previous roles include sales and service trainer, relationship manager and branch manager where she earned Top Branch Manager and Top Sales Team recognitions and performed in the top five percent of sales and service expectations.

Active in the community, Jellison currently volunteers for Junior Achievement and Learning Avenues Child Care Centers. She is a former board member of Vancouver’s Downtown Association.
