Michael Wilson

Fundraising consulting firm adds associate

Michael Wilson has joined Vancouver-based Westby Assoc. Inc., a regional full-service fundraising consulting firm, as a senior associate. Wilson formerly was the vice president for development at Innovative Services NW, a Vancouver nonprofit social service agency where he worked for five years.

There, Wilson was responsible for the capital campaign for its new facility, the Mary Firstenburg Family Center. He is a lifelong Vancouver resident, former Vancouver City Council member and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in political science from the University of Portland.

Outside of Vancouver, Westby Assoc. Inc. currently represents nonprofit clients in Seattle, Longview, Battle Ground, Hood River and The Dalles, and manages strategic fundraising campaigns totaling more than $40 million.

 

Scott Ferguson

Security systems company names sales VP

Scott Ferguson was hired as vice president of sales and marketing at the Vancouver office of Seattle-based Entrance Controls Inc., which specializes in security and monitoring systems.  Ferguson will oversee sales and marketing in the company’s Vancouver, Seattle and Los Angeles locations. He has worked in sales for more than 20 years, including 15 years in the security industry, and was most recently vice president and general manager of a Portland-based security systems company. Ferguson is a member of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety, the Strategic Account Management Association and the American Society for Industrial Security.

 

Peter Bush

Health system hires physician services VP

Peter Bush has joined Southwest Washington Health System as vice president of physician services. The Vancouver-based health system is the parent company of Southwest Washington Medical Center. Bush has worked in health care for 27 years, and most recently cofounded Vancouver-based Northwest Cancer Specialists of Washington and Oregon. He was also vice president of a national company that provided in-home cancer treatment and a principal of a similar regional company in Southern California. Bush holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and is working toward a master’s degree in health administration. He is a 14-year Clark County resident.

 

Rainy Atkins

SWMC leader earns top credential

Rainy Atkins, chief operating officer of Southwest Washington Medical Center, became a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. The Chicago-based society includes 7,500 fellows nationwide. Atkins, a registered nurse, received the credential based on test scores, academic and experiential criteria, continuing education credits and community involvement, according to SWMC.

 

Matt Dodd

NAI NBS gains broker

Matt Dodd has joined the Vancouver brokerage office of NAI Norris, Beggs and Simpson. He will focus on development of land sales and investment properties. Dodd previously was a commercial real estate appraiser for the Portland office of PGP Valuation Inc., focusing on residential subdivisions and development land in Clark and Cowlitz counties, the Tri-Cities, Ohio, Iowa and California. He is a licensed commercial real estate salesman in Washington and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Oregon.

 

Susan Linn, Jennie Stanavech

Accounting firm adds two

Susan Linn and Jennie Stanavech have joined the team at Jan Stockton PC, Vancouver-based accounting and business consulting firm.

Linn is an accountant and a certified QuickBooks Pro adviser. She has worked for more than 27 years in accounting and small business development and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management, communications and leadership from Concordia University.

Stanavech is the firm’s office manager and client service administrator, handling event coordination and assisting clients with bookkeeping and planning. She is certified in QuickBooks and behavioral interviewing, and studied psychology and social work at George Fox University.

 

Wayde Miller

Electrical contractor promotes foreman

Wayde Miller was promoted to field superintendent at Vancouver-based Electrix. He was previously a general foreman for the full-service electrical contractor. Miller has worked in construction for 22 years, including work on projects for Tokyo-based Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard and the Clatskanie Public Utilities District in Oregon. Miller is certified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and completed foreman training with the Portland-based International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 48.

 

Mark Pilley

RS Medical chooses director

Mark Pilley was named medical director of Vancouver-based RS Medical. Pilley has a long history in health care, particularly in developing and applying medical guidelines and policies for Medicare reviews. Pilley is board-certified with the American Academy of Family Physicians and is certified with the American Board of Quality Assurance Utilization Review Physicians and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. Pilley holds a medical doctorate from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.

 

Laura Waters

Nies Insurance adds account manager

Laura Waters joined the staff at Vancouver-based Nies Insurance as a commercial lines account manager. She has worked for more than seven years with commercial insurance customers. Waters is a certified insurance counselor and is licensed for property and casualty insurance. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English at Southern Oregon University.
