Vicki Grigsby

First Independent hires regional leader

Vicki Grigsby has been hired to lead First Independent’s southern region of banks, from central Vancouver to the Columbia Gorge.

Grigsby has worked for 23 years in retail banking and will oversee the Vancouver-based bank’s finances and operations at nine offices while providing branch team leadership.

Previously, Grigsby was the Clackamas branch manager of West Coast Bank. She also was a regional sales manager for a Vancouver branch of Home Street Bank.

She is a member of the board of directors for Oregon Impact, a DUI impact panel. She is a 2005 graduate of Western Banking Schools’ executive training and has been a Camas resident since 2001.

Miyamoto gains three

Miyamoto International Inc. has named two managing principals and a project engineer at its Vancouver office.

D. Scott Nyseth is a managing principal, who led the opening of the Vancouver office. With more than 10 years experience in structural engineering, he belongs to the Urban Land Institute and the guidelines committee for the Council of American Structural Engineers.

Brian Knight also is a managing principal. He is a registered professional and structural engineer in three states with more than 13 years experience. Knight sits on committees for the American Institute of Steel Construction Inc. and the American Concrete Institute.

John Rupp is a project engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Gonzaga University and has a background in structural design and seismic retrofitting.

 

Jeff Taylor

BOCC adds vice president

Jeff Taylor is Bank of Clark County’s newest vice president and commercial loan officer.

Taylor will work in the Vancouver-based bank’s commercial and industrial lending division, growing and managing a loan and deposit portfolio and working directly with clients.

He has worked in banking for six years and also has worked in insurance and investment planning, pharmaceutical sales and hotel management.

Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Oregon. He has lived in Vancouver for 10 years and volunteers at a local elementary school.

 

Megan Maschmann

YW Housing selects development director

Megan Maschmann is the new development director for YW Housing, a Vancouver-based nonprofit that provides housing services for homeless women and families. She was previously the resource development director for the YWCA Clark County’s Court Appointed Special Advocate program.

Maschmann holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and sociology from Washington State University Vancouver and a professional writing certificate.

 

James Keller

EOCF hires manager

James Keller is the new auxiliary services manager at Vancouver-based Educational Opportunities for Children and Families. Keller’s experience includes 15 years with Head Start programs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Texas.

 

Eric Brudi

CHHH gains board member

Eric Brudi has joined the board of directors for Longview-based Community Home Health and Hospice. Brudi has been a financial adviser for more than 10 years and holds degrees in marketing and management from Seattle Pacific University. Brudi has been a Rotary member for 14 years and is on the board of elders for Northlake Baptist Church in Longview.

 

Jennifer Tingey

School for blind foundation adds admin

Jennifer Tingey is the new administrative assistant to Barbara Sheldon, executive director of the Washington School for the Blind Foundation in Vancouver. Tingey previously worked at the Northwest Women’s Journal and at the VBJ as an editorial assistant, special publications researcher and circulation manager. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies and community-based development from the University of Oregon.

 

Rich Carson, Geoff Davey

Citygate names senior associates

Citygate Assoc. has named two leaders of its operations in Vancouver.

Rich Carson is general manager and senior associate, working from Hockinson. Carson joined the California company after retiring from 30 years of public service in Washington and Oregon. He was director of Clark County Community Development for nine years and director of planning for the Portland-based Metro Regional Council. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Lewis and Clark College and a Bachelor of Science degree in geography from Portland State University.

Geoff Davey is a senior associate. He worked for 33 years in county government, most recently as chief operating and financial officer at the County of Sacramento. Davey holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University Sacramento.

 

Daniel Beavers, Leah Rhodes

Health agency hires two

Vancouver-based Lifeline Connections added two to its staff.

Daniel Beavers is the agency’s new medical director and psychiatrist. He earned a doctorate degree at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences and a completed his residency at Oregon Health and Science University. Beavers is a diplomat of several groups, including the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists.

Leah Rhodes is a residential program manager. Her experience includes work as an associate faculty member at Lake Tahoe Community College and residential program director at the California-based Sierra Recovery Center. She has a master’s degree in counseling psychology and a bachelor’s degree in communications.
