New Edge leadership in transition

The June departure of New Edge Networks President Linda Beck has the Vancouver company seeking a successor.

Beck left the company, which builds and manages multi-site DSL and broadband networks, in June to return to California, where she lived prior to becoming New Edge's president in early 2007, said New Edge Spokesman Sal Cinquegrani.

Filling Beck's position on an interim basis is Joe Wetzel, chief operating officer of EarthLink, New Edge's Atlanta-based parent company, where Beck worked seven years prior to her role at New Edge.

Cinquegrani did not comment on the circumstances surrounding Beck's departure. The company has had four changes in its six-member executive team since August 2006.
