Up Close With Jeni Gall

Jeni Gall

Current job: Physical therapist and owner of MovePT; Continuing education instructor for Therapeutic Movement Seminars; mother of two.

Proudest professional moment: Probably walking across the stage at my graduation ceremony. I was the first person in my family to graduate from college, and here I was walking across the stage to receive a doctorate degree. All that work, and it felt good.

First job: Carousel Fashions at Mall 205 in Portland. I was 16 years old.

Fun fact: I do not know how to whistle. Have tried my whole life and cannot figure it out.

Favorite spot on a Saturday night: Reading a book, all curled up in the recliner OR at a great bar sipping a martini OR sitting outside, staring at the fire.

Favorite movie: I don’t watch a lot of movies. “The Goonies” and “Top Gun” are my childhood favorites.

Music of choice: I love music, especially Blues/Rock/Pop, Hip Hop, Funk and Bluegrass.

Favorite places to eat: My husband and I are both pretty good cooks, so we eat really well at home. That said, my Vancouver favorites include Hudson’s Bar and Grill, Woody’s Tacos, The Grocery and Thai Little Home.

Motto/Inspirational quote: “Fake it ‘til you make it.” In other words, get comfortable outside your comfort zone and keep moving toward your goals.
