Port of Vancouver recognizes Cadet as ‘Tenant of the Year’

Cadet Manufacturing Co., a designer, developer and manufacturer of high-efficiency electric heaters and thermostats, has received the Port of Vancouver USA’s 2013 Tenant of the Year award.

The 57-year-old company received the award due to its sustainability, community involvement and employee-centered culture, the port said.

“The real thanks go to our personnel,” said Cadet CEO Dick Anderson after accepting the award. “Our people are second to none. They make it work on a day-to-day basis, and have for years.”

This is the third Port of Vancouver award Cadet has received in the past four years. The company was also recognized as the port’s Environmental Tenant of the Year in 2010 and 2012.

Cadet has received statewide and local recognition for its excellence and leadership. In 2013, the company was recognized as a Clark County Green Business and one of the Healthiest Companies in Southwest Washington by the Vancouver Business Journal.
