PeaceHealth Southwest Foundation awards $49,000 in scholarships

The PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation recently awarded $49,000 in scholarships to 23 PeaceHealth Southwest caregivers, junior volunteers and adult volunteers.

The Foundation awarded 19 scholarships from the Health Career Scholarship Fund and four scholarships from the Jack and Nancy Barry Health Career Scholarship Endowment.

In addition, junior volunteer Valeria Rodriguez was awarded a $3,000 scholarship from the Sarina Slaid Memorial Scholarship Fund, which is given annually to a student from Mountain View High School. Rodriguez is pursuing a nursing degree at Georgetown University.
