Integra acquires Seattle-based World Communications Inc.

Integra, a Vancouver-headquartered provider of fiber-based, carrier-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, announced on Wednesday that the company has received the regulatory approvals to complete its acquisition of Seattle-based World Communications Inc.

World Communications Inc. (WCI) specializes in the reselling of telecommunications services, such as toll-free numbers and Internet access. Its portfolio includes business-centric services like computer telephony. Customers have included Krispy Kreme and First Choice Health Network.

The acquisition, which was originally announced in July, will bolster Integra’s talent pool in the Seattle market. The two companies have been working closely together over the last several months to ensure a seamless integration with minimal disruption for customers.

“The acquisition of WCI is a key step in the continued growth of our fiber-rich Northwest markets and we’re pleased to see it to completion,” said Jesse Selnick, Integra’s chief financial officer, in a press release. “The combination of WCI’s strong customer roster and enterprise expertise and Integra’s rich network assets will yield substantial benefits for both existing and new customers while enhancing Integra’s position as the premier choice for network services for businesses in the region.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
