The Vancouver Business Journal is proud to announce that Ed Lynch – philanthropist, businessman and World War II Veteran – has been selected to receive the Kyle W. Corwin Legacy Builder Award. The award recognizes one person annually who has spent their career leading, mentoring, building a business and giving back.
Lynch moved to Vancouver in 1957, serving in several positions with engineering firm Kiewit Pacific. In 1986, he retired as president of the company.
After retirement, Lynch opened an office in downtown Vancouver supporting businesses, historic societies, civic projects and other philanthropic organizations.
To this day, Lynch remains active with a variety of local organizations and nonprofits including the Fort Vancouver National Trust, Identity Clark County, Vancouver Methodist Foundation, Columbia Springs Environmental Education Center, and the I Have a Dream Foundation.
