CCNC raises more than $4,500 to benefit Children’s Center

CCNC has requested that the funds are used to provide “heavy helpers” for children served by Children’s Center. A “heavy helper” is a stuffed animal that has been filled with sanitized aquarium rock, creating a weighted therapy tool that is child friendly.

Each year the CCNC selects a nonprofit organization to benefit from a year of fundraising efforts. The group was founded 1954 to help people who are new to Clark County learn about the many entertainment and recreation possibilities available as well as resources and community needs. The club is not limited to newcomers. For more information about CCNC, visit www.clarkcountynewcomers.com.
