The Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill a volunteer position on the Solid Waste Advisory Commission.
The first position represents the citizens of north Clark County. Applicants must reside north of 179th Street. The second position represents the cities of: Battle Ground, Camas, La Center, Ridgefield, Washougal and the Town of Yacolt.
Commission members serve three-year terms. They meet at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Auto Licensing and Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St.
The group is a volunteer advisory panel to the Board of County Commissioners. Members make recommendations on solid waste, landfills, transfer stations, recycling, waste reduction programs and other issues.
