WSUV chancellor receives Vocational Service Award

Hal Dengerink was presented the Vancouver Rotary Vocational Service Award for 2005 on Nov. 2. The chancellor of Washington State University Vancouver has been instrumental in moving the branch campus of WSU from quarters at Clark College to the 348-acre campus in Salmon Creek, where today nearly 2,000 students are enrolled.

In addition to being the senior administrative officer for the university, Dengerink is co-chair of the Columbia River Crossing Project. He also is the board chairman of Clark United Providers and sits on the boards of Southwest Washington Medical Center and Columbia River Economic Development Council, and is a member of the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Commemorative Committee.
