At the 2005 Washington Credit Union League Annual Meeting & Convention, Jim Askey, board chairman at Lacamas Community Credit Union, was presented the 2005 Outstanding Credit Union Volunteer Award. He was selected along with Warren Sutliff of Yakima Credit Union. Askey has served as a credit union volunteer for the past 16 years, with seven years as the chairman of the board for Lacamas Community Credit Union. In addition, he has served on the boards of Southwest Washington Private Industry Council and the Camas Washougal Chamber of Commerce. He is human resources manager for Pendleton Woolen Mills.
