Breaking Ground

Vancouver Clinic

The Vancouver Clinic broke ground March 28 on its new clinic, a $30 million building at 700 N.E. 87th Ave. in Vancouver, to replace the medical offices currently there.

The clinic has contracted with the Colorado-based Neenan Co. to build the three-story, 137,000-square-foot facility that more than doubles the size of the existing building. The Neenan Co. also built the clinic’s facilities at Columbia Tech Center and Salmon Creek. About 65 providers will initially staff the new clinic, eventually growing to more than 100 providers.

The facility is part of the clinic’s plan to offer a wide range of multispecialty services next to Southwest Washington Medical Center. The design will incorporate a galleria-style interior and light-filled reception areas. The clinic anticipates the new building will be completed by fall of this year. Once open, the existing office will be demolished.

The Vancouver Clinic employs 170 practitioners at five offices in Clark County.

Washougal Town Square

Lone Wolf Development broke ground on Washougal Town Square in July of 2006 at 1700 "B" St. in downtown Washougal. The construction cost is $13 million and the general contractor is Portland-based Walsh Construction. The center will open later this summer.
