Marine sciences unit to open in Vancouver

David Evans and Assoc. Inc. of Portland will open a marine sciences subsidiary Feb. 4 in Vancouver.

The new marine sciences unit, which is as yet unnamed, will be at 2801 S.E. Columbia Way in Vancouver. It grew out of the hydrographic survey and marine service group at David Evans and Assoc. That company has provided underwater mapping, analysis and marine construction for two decades nationwide, and its primary clients include the Army Corps of Engineers and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Its parent company, David Evans Enterprises Inc., has more than 25 offices in seven states and nearly 1,100 employees.

CEO Donald P. Fusilli, Jr., will be leading the Vancouver subsidiary. He is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Illinois and Ohio and a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania. Fusilli was CEO of Michael Baker Corp. near Pittsburgh from 2001 to 2006, and worked with the company for 33 years. He also established an engineering and energy consulting firm, The Telum Group, in 2006.
