Clark County Public Health seeks community award nominations

Clark County Public Health is now accepting nominations for the annual Public Health Community Award, which recognizes an individual or organization for outstanding contributions to promoting and protecting community health.

The award will be presented during the Clark County Board of Health meeting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

“This award acknowledges the important work of our community partners,” said Mark Collier, Public Health Advisory Council chair. “Their efforts are essential to addressing a range of challenging health issues in Clark County.”

A committee of council members and Public Health staff will review nominations and make a selection. The committee will give special consideration to individuals or organizations in Clark County that work to prevent health problems, forge partnerships and strive for communitywide outcomes.

Nominations are due Wednesday, April 6. Forms are available on the Public Health website at www.clark.wa.gov/public-health. Completed forms can be submitted online, by mail or in person.
