Study: Absence makes the team uneasy

According to a study developed by California-based Office Team, employees don’t relish time away from their bosses. Nearly half of the 492 workers polled said their jobs would be more difficult if they did not work in the same office as their supervisors. Of this group, 27 percent said it would be much more difficult. Just more than 20 percent of the respondents said their jobs would be somewhat or much easier.

Similarly, 58 percent of managers surveyed said it is important that all staff members work in the same location, and 12 percent said it is not important. The 150 managers polled are senior executives from the nation’s largest companies.
