Paying it Forward: Peter Fels

Volunteer of the WeekPeter L. FelsName: Peter Fels

Current employer or place of business: Peter L. Fels, P.C. (attorney)

Organization(s) I volunteer with: Share Board of Directors; Clark County Bar Association – Lawyer clinic volunteer (monthly legal clinics for low income clients); Northwest School of Law at Lewis and Clark College (law student mentor).

How I got involved: I was asked or I volunteered or both.

Why I give back: I have a fortunate background and I believe in helping those who need help.

Proudest moment as a volunteer: Currently, I am proudest of my work helping homeless clients whose property was taken by Clark County Corrections work crews. Also, my student mentees have graduated law school successfully and are moving forward in their careers.

What local challenge or issue are you most passionate about? Improving opportunities for local homeless people.

Just for fun: What are your hidden talents? My wife and I once were awarded best organic gardeners in Clark County!
