Vancouver Police Dept. receives $150,000 grant

The Vancouver Police Department has received a $150,000 Washington Traffic Safety Commission grant to help reduce and prevent impaired driving deaths.

A primary focus of the grant will be to have additional DUI enforcement in high crash areas throughout Clark County. Additional components of the campaign include high visibility marketing as well as outreach through various community partners in support of Target Zero, the state’s strategic roadmap for eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries by 2030.

The local partners involved in this effort include the Vancouver Police Department, the Vancouver Neighbors on Watch (NOW) , Battle Ground Police Department, Camas Police Department, La Center Police Department, Washougal Police Department ,Washington State Patrol, Washington Liquor Control & Cannabis Board, Clark County Judiciary and District Court, Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Vancouver City Attorney’s Office, Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA), and support from the Clark County Law Enforcement Council.
