New Rotary Club coming to Clark County

A new Rotary Club is coming to the Hazel Dell/Felida/Salmon Creek and Ridgefield area, led by two well-known members of the business community.

The new club, introduced by Rotary District 5100 and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Camas-Washougal, will be known as Rotary Club of Three Creeks. It will be led by Vesta Hospitality’s Susanne Cox (president nominee) and the Port of Ridgefield’s Nelson Holmberg (president elect nominee).

“In addition to filling a service need in this area, the Rotary Club of Three Creeks offers an easy opportunity for people from Hazel Dell, Felida, Salmon Creek, Ridgefield and even La Center to stop by for a quick Rotary meeting on their way home from work in Portland or Vancouver,” said Cox in a press release. “The club is excited to carry forward [Rotary International’s] vision of fellowship, community outreach and focus on international service.”

The new club – the eighth Rotary Club in Clark County – will meet every other Thursday at 5:30 p.m. until it receives its official charter. At that point it will switch to a weekly meeting schedule. Upcoming meetings include a C-Tran update on The Vine, an update at Legacy Salmon Creek and a research briefing at WSU Vancouver.
