New industrial park planned for Clark County

A Portland area developer announced plans to build an industrial park on Northeast 72nd Avenue in Clark County just north of Interstate 205. The Barberton Industrial Park would include a 158,406-square-foot warehouse building, a 23,832-square-foot industrial building and a 17,944-square-foot flex building constructed in three phases on about 16 acres of land. The project is currently being reviewed by the county.
The developer, Rosan Inc., is owned by Warren Rosenfeld and brothers Steve and Dave Anderson. The 40-year-old company owns several warehouse spaces throughout the metro area, said Rosenfeld.

Pending approval, the company is prepared to begin construction on the nearly 160,000-square-foot industrial distribution warehouse building, which could be built within five to six months. The remaining building would be built as the market demands, said Rosenfeld.

“We are optimistic about the market,” he said, “but careful developers.”

The warehouse building could “practically” accommodate four tenants, said Rosenfeld. Possible occupants have not been identified. The building is best suited for distribution and light manufacturing needs, he said.

The company identified the property as a developing part of the community with easy access to major transportation arteries, making it attractive to possible tenants.

Rosenfeld said the wetlands on the property serve as a buffer between adjacent properties.

The company declined to disclose the cost of the project.
