Magenta Theater launches rebranding effort

Downtown Vancouver’s Magenta Theater unveiled a new logo this week as part of a theater-wide rebranding effort.

The theater developed the new logo with the help of 99 Designs (www.99designs.com), an online graphic design site where clients describe their design need and dozens of designers submit ideas.

“We received 90 designs from 20 designers,” said Jaynie Roberts, artistic director. “It wasn’t easy to decide; there were many outstanding logos, but the winning designer incorporated a clever element of a ‘person’ that represents our theater community- actors, crew, volunteers and our audience.”

Founded in 2002, Magenta Theater is a part of the recently formed Downtown Vancouver Arts District. The community theater is a nonprofit arts and education organization, offering a live arts experience through classes, productions, live music and improv comedy.
