Stephen Malmros

Stephen Malmros joins Burns & McDonnell and its growing Vancouver-based Pacific Northwest team, to help expand the firm’s integrated design-build capabilities across a wide range of markets including electronics, food and consumer products, manufacturing, mission critical, life sciences and corporate and commercial real estate. With nearly three decades of experience, Malmros has successfully led more than $15 billion in design and construction projects for Fortune 500 manufacturing companies around the world. Burns & McDonnell is a full-service engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting solutions firm.

Angie Sytsma

Angie Sytsma has been appointed executive director of the nonprofit organization Bridgeview. She has more than 10 years of progressive nonprofit leadership experience in the health, workforce development, housing, healthy aging and education fields. She has led and served on several nationally recognized federally funded projects related to these fields, as well as domestic violence interventions. Until her appointment, she was operations manager II in the Portland Community College Continuing Education program. Sytsma holds a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Human Relations from Northern Arizona University. She replaces Jan Wichert who retired from Bridgeview in June 2019.

Joanna Yorke-Payne
Joanna Yorke is the managing editor of the Vancouver Business Journal. She has worked in the journalism field since 2010 after graduating from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University in Pullman. Yorke worked at The Reflector Newspaper in Battle Ground for six years and then worked at and helped start ClarkCountyToday.com.
