DAVID NIERENBERG

David Nierenberg, founder and president of Nierenberg Investment Management Company (NIMCO), has been appointed to Riverview Bancorp, Inc.’s Boards of Directors. Before founding NIMCO in 1996, Nierenberg was a general partner of Trinity Ventures’ first four venture capital partnerships. Prior to that, he was a partner at Bain & Company in San Francisco, Boston and London.

Nierenberg received his bachelor of arts degree from Yale College in 1975, and his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1978. He is a retired member of the Massachusetts Bar and has served on dozens of public, private and not-for-profit boards during the past three decades.

Paul Brown, former CFO of Zoom+, has joined TVC as chief financial officer, and Rebecca Birenbaum as chief human resources officer. Brown is an accomplished senior financial executive, with 25 years of experience as a CFO at organizations inside and outside the healthcare industry. Most recently, he was CFO of ZOOM+, a Portland-based early stage healthcare company focused on radically changing consumers’ healthcare experience in urgent and advanced care services.

As chief human resources officer, Birenbaum is responsible for ensuring that TVC attracts and retains talented staff members and healthcare providers who share the clinic’s commitment to delivering exceptional care for patients. She brings more than 15 years of human resources experience to her role. Most recently, she served as the chief compliance and administrative officer at Central City Concern, a nonprofit organization providing primary care, mental health and other services to people battling homelessness and addiction.
