Julie Rawls

In her new position, Rawls will assist the port in establishing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders. Her responsibilities include representing the port at public meetings, delivering presentations, conducting tours, managing the port’s speakers’ bureau and helping organize events.

“We are so pleased to add Julie to our team,” said Katy Brooks, community outreach manager for the port, in a press release. “Her extensive experience combined with her strong belief in the value of public involvement will make her a wonderful resource for both the port and our community.”

Previously, Rawls served more than 20 years in the Portland Development Commission’s public affairs and public outreach departments. Her work focused on multiple aspects of communication, including media relations, government relations, writing, public speaking and public involvement.

Andy HimsworthANDY HIMSWORTH

Cascade Dental recently hired Dr. Andy Himsworth for its Fisher’s Landing office.

Himsworth earned his doctor of medical dentistry from OHSU’s School of Dentistry in 1987. He has been treating patients throughout the Northwest since 1983.

In addition to general dentistry, Himsworth has advanced training in Orognathic Bioesthetic dentistry – the treatment of issues related to the jaw, and aesthetic issues of the teeth and face.

Prior to his arrival at Cascade Dental, Dr. Himsworth served in the US Army and owned his own dental practice in Bend, Oregon.

ANDREA GANO

Fort Vancouver Convalescent Center has hired Andrea Gano as its new director of nursing services.

A registered nurse, Gano is certified as a Case Manager (CCM), Wound Care Associate (CWCA) and Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC).

She comes to Fort Vancouver Convalescent Center with experience in hospital and home health settings, and as an educator in skilled nursing facilities.
